The Guatemala Executive package is thought for people staying in Guatemala only a few days and still want to see the main highlights of our beautiful country! Upon request it is also possible to only do parts of the package!
Day 1: Arrival in Guatemala, Overnight in Antigua...
Guatemala Travel Mall welcomes you the El Mundo Maya, the beautiful land of lakes, volcanoes and ancient Mayan Culture. Upon arrival at the International Airport of Guatemala City, one of our drivers will wait for you at the exit of the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Antigua. Meet and greet your guide in Antigua. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Antigua.
Day 2: Antigua...
Enjoy breakfast, then your guide will meet you for a city tour of Antigua. Enormous churches monasteries and colonial mansions from the 17/18th century line the city's cobblestone streets. UNESCO declared Antigua patrimony to mankind. The guided tour also includes a visit to the music museum and the textile village. Lunch at a local restaurant in the heart of Antigua. After lunch you stop at Casa Popenoe, a mansion of ancient times. Rest of the afternoon at your leisure or walk the streets and visit the markets in search of handmade cloths, weavings and crafts. Day 3: Chichicastenango, Lake Atitlan...
Morning drive into the Altiplano (highlands) of Chichicastenango, home to one of the most spectacular markets in the Americas. Visit the largest traje (indigenous clothing) and tipica (crafts) market in Central America and Santo Tomas Church, built in 1540. Here Indians practice their faith, blending Mayan and Catholic rituals. After lunch you will transfer to Panajachel on Lake Atitlan where you will have the rest of the afternoon and the evening at leisure. Overnight in Panajachel, 5000 feet above sea level! B
Day 4: Lake Atitlan, Excursion to Santiago...
Today you will have an excursion by boat to Santiago, a typical Mayan village. Crossing Lake Atitlan you will see the three volcanoes San Pedro, Toliman and Atitlan that are dominating the landscape. Santiago is known for the quality and beauty of its textile products. In the afternoon, you will return to Guatemala City. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Guatemala City. B
Day 5: Peten/Tikal Excursion...
Today you will you will take an early morning flight into the heart of the Guatemalan jungle hosting the Maya monuments and the pyramids of Tikal. In this remote area, one of the greatest civilizations of its time built a city that lasted for centuries. The site of Tikal is in a National Park where the native flora and fauna still flourish relatively undisturbed. Hundreds of species of birds, including toucans and macaws, and various species of monkeys gliding through the dense vegetation can be seen. After lunch at the ruins, fly back to Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City. B, L
Day 6: Departure Guatemala City...
Your tour ends this morning at your hotel in Guatemala. Guatemala Travel Mall provides transfers throughout the day to the Guatemala City airport. Thanks for vacationing with Guatemala Travel Mall. ¡Good-bye! B
