Taste of Guatemala is a complete package of 10 days/9 nights and thought for people that would like to see what Guatemala is all about. It includes all the main highlights including Tikal, Antigua, Lake Atitlan and Chichicastenango and finishes with some relaxing on the Pacific Ocean!
Day 1: Arrival in Guatemala, Overnight in Antigua...
EnjoyGuatemala welcomes you the El Mundo Maya, the beautiful land of lakes, volcanoes and ancient Mayan Culture. Upon arrival at the International Airport of Guatemala City, one of our drivers will wait for you at the exit of the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Antigua. Overnight in Antigua.
Day 2: Antigua...
Enjoy breakfast, then your guide will meet you for a city tour of Antigua. Enormous churches monasteries and colonial mansions from the 17/18th century line the city's cobblestone streets. UNESCO declared Antigua patrimony to mankind. The guided tour also includes visits to The Merced Church, Central Plaza, Casa Kojom (coffee and Music Museum), Ciudad Vieja and Aguas calientes. Lunch at a local restaurant in the heart of Antigua. Late afternoon at your leisure or walk the streets and visit the markets in search of handmade cloths, weavings and crafts. Overnight in Antigua. Day 3: Chichicastenango, Lake Atitlan...
 Morning drive into the Altiplano (highlands) of Chichicastenango, home to one of the most spectacular markets in the Americas. Visit the largest traje (indigenous clothing) and tipica (crafts) market in Central America and Santo Tomas Church, built in 1540. Here Indians practice their faith, blending Mayan and Catholic rituals. After lunch you will transfer to Panajachel on Lake Atitlan where you will have the rest of the afternoon and the evening at leisure. Overnight in Panajachel, 5000 feet above sea level! B
Day 4: Atitlan / Guatemala City...
Today you will have an excursion by boat to Santiago, a typical Mayan village. Crossing Lake Atitlan you will see the three volcanoes San Pedro, Toliman and Atitlan that are dominating the landscape. Santiago is known for the quality and beauty of its textile products. In the afternoon, you will return to Panajachel, where you will have time to explore this gateway to Lake Atitlan. Choose among many local restaurants and enjoy dinner on your own! B, L
Day 5: Peten / Tikal Excursion...
 Fly into the heart of the Guatemalan jungle to the Maya monuments and pyramids of Tikal. In this remote area, one of the greatest civilizations of its time built a city that lasted for centuries. The site of Tikal is in a national park where the native flora and fauna still flourish relatively undisturbed. Hundreds of species of birds, including toucans and macaws, can easily be seen, as can spider and howler monkeys as they glide through the dense vegetation. After lunch at the ruins you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Peten. B, L
Day 6: Peten / Guatemala City...
Today you will you will take an early morning flight into the heart of the Guatemalan jungle hosting the Maya monuments and the pyramids of Tikal. In this remote area, one of the greatest civilizations of its time built a city that lasted for centuries. The site of Tikal is in a National Park where the native flora and fauna still flourish relatively undisturbed. Hundreds of species of birds, including toucans and macaws, and various species of monkeys gliding through the dense vegetation can be seen. After lunch at the ruins, fly back to Guatemala City. Overnight in Guatemala City. B, L
Day 7: Guatemala, Pacific Coast...
After a short city tour of Guatemala City you will start your way to Chulamar, from the Highlands down to the Pacific Coast. This coastal region boasts a much different landscape compared to what you have seen in the days before. Overnight at the oceanfront Hotel Soleil Pacifico (All Inclusive Plan). B, L, D.
Day 8: Beach, Free Day ! ...
 Today you will enjoy the beach of Chulamar with its volcanic sands and the warm and pleasant waters of the Pacific Ocean along with the installations of the hotel (All Inclusive plan). B, L, D.
Day 9: Free Day / Guatemala City...
After Lunch we will transfer you back to your hotel in Guatemala City. Overnight Guatemala City. B, L
Day 10: Departure Guatemala City...
Your tour ends this morning at your hotel in Guatemala. EnjoyGuatemala provides transfers throughout the day to the Guatemala City airport. Thanks for vacationing with EnjoyGuatemala. ¡Hasta luego! B
